The AMI-200RHP is used for catalyst characterization. It can be used to pretreat catalysts by oxidizing and reducing them; then metal surface areas can be determined by a pulsed chemisorption method in which the amount of metal is determined by the amount of probe molecule, like CO, that absorbs.
