FBRI's Theme II Objectives are:

  • to generate new knowledge needed for selective and controlled extraction of hemicellulose from forest biomass
  • to understand the effect of extration on wood properties and resultant wood products, in addition to downstream pulp, fuels, chemicals, and biomaterials
